352today recently spotlighted our sister restaurant, Say Taco, a reimagined taco bar and grill just off Ocala’s Historic Downtown Square. Formerly known as Sayulita Taqueria, the space has been completely transformed into a lively, American-style destination for tacos, tequila, and good times.

In October 2024, new owners took over, moving away from the traditional Mexican décor and counter-service model to introduce a full-service restaurant and bar featuring inventive tacos, premium tequila, country music, and a welcoming, social vibe. Set in a brick building with both cozy indoor seating and a charming courtyard patio, Say Taco has quickly become a go-to spot for everything from laid-back lunches to energetic evenings with live music and special events.

The new tagline—“We’re saying adios to Sayulita and hello to Say Taco!”—captures the spirit of the reinvention. The concept now emphasizes not just the food, but the overall experience, blending atmosphere, hospitality, and community. Say Taco serves as a downtown eatery, tequila bar, and social gathering place all at once. While tacos still take center stage, the lively soundtrack, thoughtful drink program, rotating events, and prime downtown location turn every visit into something memorable. The refreshed identity has boosted business, drawn enthusiastic reviews, and solidified Say Taco’s place as a staple of downtown Ocala.
